Big Moves - New Office Location and Open House
05/21/2012
Brooke Randolph, LMHC
While I have unofficially announced my recent move on Facebook and twitter, I wanted to officially announce the location change via my blog. There is still some construction occurring, but It's been four weeks since I moved into Arch at Chatham and I am nearly settled. I am hoping to get things hung on the wall later this week, but I'm not sure when I will get all of my books in to the office. Arch at Chatham was originally constructed in 1890 as St. Joseph’s Hall. It serves as an event venue, art gallery on First Fridays, and office space. The stained glass windows, architectural wood beams, exposed brick walls, and hard wood floors create a “cozy yet cosmopolitan” atmosphere. I find it to be comfortable and professional.
Beyond the soothing beauty of the building, there are several reasons why I think this new location will benefit my clients. My new office is much quieter, creating a more therapeutic environment from the moment you walk in the door. The location is more central and close to exits from 65 and 70 (get directions here). I have a couch. Many have requested more traditional therapeutic seating for my office, so I felt like I must oblige. I have a temporary loveseat while I seek the most ideal seating for a therapist's office (that still fits in my budget). Arch at Chatham is just a block from Mass Ave, a popular downtown neighborhood that is perfect for walking if you need more time to think or just to enjoy the weather, restaurants, and shops.
Parking is in the lot on the southeast corner of North Street and Park Avenue, although street parking is also available. If you would like to check out my new digs, there will be an open house on June 1st during the First Friday gallery walk. Art will be on display on the second floor of Arch at Chatham. My office is located on the first floor. Currently, I am mostly in the office by appointment only. If you would be interested in scheduling a counseling appointment, check out the initial documents and email me your availability.
